| Kings
Island, the first golf course ever built in North Vietnam, is located on the shores of the
Dong Mo Reservoir in Ha Tay Province in the shadow of BaVi Mountain, 50km outside of Ha
Noi. Construction of this 36-hole golf resort started in 1993 and is expected to be completed in 2002. At this time, over 18,200 rounds per year are played on the first 18 holes by KI's 800+ members and their guests. |

In 1998,
the temporary clubhouse was expanded to allow for the seating of 100+ players in the
restaurant and the locker room facilities were upgraded with additional showers and more
lockers for the ever-swelling membership roster. The international standard restaurant has a varied menu, including Western, Thai and Chinese cuisine, in addition to traditional Vietnamese foods prepared by experienced chefs. |
| On
August 7, 1993, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Khanh officially opened the driving range at
Kings Island by hitting the first ball. Also in attendence were officials from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, as well as People's Committee representatives from Ha Tay Province and the town of Son Tay. By the way, Nguyen Khanh still plays golf today. |

is not your thing, Kings Island will also offer water sports like sailing and fishing on
Dong Mo Lake, or swim in the clubhouse's olympic-size swimming pool. Nature enthusiasts will soon be able to take a leisurely stroll through the back country, or jump onto the back of one of the horses at the equestrian centre. Kings Island will also offer 1-3 bedroom luxury villas for long and short-term lease, as well as a 100-room 5-star hotel. |
